Something we lost touch with as a modern society is the importance of rituals. Rituals in the sense of social gatherings, where we come together to connect from an authentic place, a place of sharing our love and suffering with each other. A structure that makes everyone feel carried by a larger whole and helps us excavate the grief within. In modern society, they are sometimes hidden in our daily rituals like our bar & clubbing culture, restaurant dining, religion, and sports. What we forgot about those rituals is that they should primarily focus on creativity, connection, authenticity and if possible, larger consciousness. This is what often got lost in the translation.

To me, rituals are powerful tools for personal growth and societal transformation. They can reconnect us with our internal, divine, and playful essence, and each other. I see them as an effective way of curing - and preventing modern day illness like anxiety and loneliness, and their physical diseases as a result. Let's all introduce some more rituals in our lives, and more importantly remember that life itself is a ritual.
