Microcosmic is a self portrait created from the feeling of belonging and isolation that often present themselves inside of me at the same time. This paradox is the reality of most of my days on earth and inspired me to create this piece. The smooth liquid fractal shapes immediately bring a feeling of peace and wonder, making your thoughts slower and your presence blend with the curves. The printed work has a deep ocean blue tone which brings more calm to its display.

About the Microcosmic project:

Everything found on a microscopic and macroscopic scale is just the same pattern repeating itself through a giant collective heartbeat. The division we bring between ourselves and others is a construct of the rational mind that simulates itself into separation. Duality is important to learn about ourselves, navigate the world, relate to others and keep our personal integrity, but ultimately we need to accept that everything is interconnected in a unified web. Experiencing the merging with this Unity is one of the most profound spiritual gifts a human can experience.

Both Duality and Unity can exist at the same time, which is the paradoxical fundament of our reality. There is more than just your "individuality" and more outside your very limited belief of information processed in your short life span. That is what opens up the possibility of true lifelong learning. The world right now is too disconnected from the bigger picture and it is causing a lot of humanitarian and environmental problems. How much does it take for the world to realize we're all on the same planet, in the same Universe, with which we have an interdependent nature?
